Wednesday Activities at Essex Police Museum

Essex Police Museum

Dressing-up at Essex Police Museum

Essex Police Museum, at HQ, Chelmsford, is open every Wednesday during the school holidays and there’s plenty to do!

Ever wondered how heavy a police officer’s hat really is? Or how easy is it to take your fingerprints?

Over the summer the museum is open every Wednesday in addition to its regular Saturday opening hours. As well as special craft activities, visitors can try a cell out for size, give evidence in the witness box, and solve puzzles on the police box.

The museum is open from 10am to 4pm and admission to the museum is free, however there is a charge of £2 to take part in the craft events.
